What Is LAUTECH Post UTME?
The Post UTME is a screening exercise organised by Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, to shortlist candidates for undergraduate admission. Unlike some schools that rely on JAMB scores alone, LAUTECH uses a combined scoring formula:
- 80% from your UTME score
- 20% from your O’Level grades
Your JAMB score and O’Level results both count. Make sure your results are uploaded correctly on JAMB CAPS.

How Admission Scoring Works
LAUTECH does not conduct a separate written Post UTME examination. Admission is calculated using this formula:
(80% of UTME score) + (20% of O’Level grade score) = Aggregate
For example: A candidate who scores 200 in UTME will contribute 160 points to their aggregate (80% of 200), plus an O’Level score component. The higher your JAMB score and the better your O’Level grades, the stronger your aggregate.
Important Notes for Applicants
- Accepted admission on JAMB CAPS must be confirmed within three (3) weeks of uploading. Failure to do so results in withdrawal.
- Await-result candidates must upload their O’Level results on CAPS before the stated deadline.
- Any inconsistency in name, date of birth, or state of origin across your documents may lead to disqualification.
- False information can lead to withdrawal and possible legal action.
