UTME Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for ESUI Post UTME screening, you must meet all of the following conditions:
- Sat for the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 150 (or the approved cut-off for your chosen programme)
- Have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings (Medicine & Surgery requires all five credits at one sitting)
- Selected Edo State University, Iyamho as your first-choice institution on JAMB
- Be at least 16 years old on or before 30 September 2026
- Have your O’Level results uploaded on JAMB CAPS on or before 31 August 2026
Candidates who did not initially choose ESUI may still apply, provided they scored at least 150 and meet the departmental cut-off. They must first change their first-choice institution to ESUI via JAMB CAPS before completing the screening application.
Candidates awaiting WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB 2026 results may also apply, but their results must be uploaded to JAMB CAPS before the deadline.
Direct Entry (DE) Eligibility Requirements
All Direct Entry candidates must first purchase and process the JAMB Direct Entry Form. ESUI accepts the following qualifications for 200 Level admission:
- A minimum of Merit Pass in NCE, Credit in OND/HND, or a University degree in a relevant discipline
- Two Advanced Level (A’Level) passes or their equivalent in relevant subjects
- IJMB, JUPEB, or Cambridge-moderated School of Basic Studies results at acceptable grade levels
- A minimum CGPA of 1.5 (for transfer from other universities; academic transcripts must be received by the Admissions Office)
In addition to any of the above, DE candidates must also satisfy the standard O’Level requirements for their chosen programme.
DE screening is conducted online for most programmes. However, candidates applying for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing, and Law must attend the physical Post-DE Screening Test on campus (date to be announced).
